Project Overview
Section R4 of the North-South Corridor will run with the current alignment of South Road. The development will be situated between South of Ashwin Parade (Bennett Street) and South of Sir Donald Bradman Drive (Fredrick Street) and is approximately two kilometres long. The above video shows the existing road layout of Section R4 of South Road. As it can be seen that there are various heritage listed buildings that must be considered throughout all the stages of the project.
The main objective of the project is to create an environment which promotes stronger economic performance through more efficient and effective land use arrangements to support the growth of new industries. The current transport network will constrain this future growth in the northern and southern region and ultimately, in the state and national economies.
